Motivational Mondays – Who says running can’t be fun?

A week and a half ago, I attended my third Adventure Run at Road Runner Sports and it was fantastic.

If you like running and you like free things, this is the event to attend. At an Adventure Run, you are given 60 minutes to run to as many locations as you can and collect raffle tickets. When time’s up, everyone come back to the Road Runner Sports store and the raffle and beer drinking begins. So let’s re-cap, shall we?

  • FREE 60 minute scavenger hunt/fun run
  • FREE prizes
  • FREE beer
  • AWESOME people (i.e. me and company)

There are literally no down sides to this event. Okay, you have to run, but seriously, running is good for your health so it’s smiles all around.

Here are a few pictures from my two last Adventure Runs.

Then right before the run, a map of the checkpoints is unveiled

At each of the checkpoints, raffle tickets are given out and we turn them in at the end for the raffle

This is my friend Miren’s first Adventure Run – look at how happy we are

If you’re lucky enough to live in a city that has one of these, I’d highly recommend going to them.

What are some fun running events that you’ve been to?
