Today, I wanted to discuss some of the perks of participating in the Dav5k Tulsa.

If you’re a service member or veteran, you’ll receive a blue shirt for participating. If you registered before October 15th, their custom shirt will have their branch of service listed on the back. If you registered after that date, you’ll still receive a race shirt, but it will be gray that says “Run to Honor Veterans.” Civilians will also get that gray race shirt.

There will also be a red carpet where you’ll feel like a celebrity and get your picture taken with friends and family. There will also be opportunities to share stories with other fellow service members. After the race, there will also be a closing ceremony to honor all the service men and women. During that ceremony, commemorative medals will be given to all registered veterans and service members and after the ceremony, there will be a post party where friends, family, and race participants can socialize. Light snacks will be given out to all participants and veterans will receive a complimentary drink.

If you’re interested in participating, you can use the code “SAVE5” to save $5 off your registration. If you’re a veteran, there are also options listed on the website where it’s free to participate.
